Finding Me, Seeing You
This season, our choirs embark on a journey from inward reflection to outward awareness. Through music that invites us to consider our own identities and wellbeing, we will turn slowly outward—toward compassion, connection, and our shared humanity.
At the heart of the season is a single question, one that belongs to singers and audiences alike: How do we best care for ourselves, so we can better care for others? Across the year, our repertoire will move from the quiet work of knowing ourselves to the generous work of seeing one another—and finding, in that movement, the strength that comes from singing together.
Concert Season Highlights
November 7, 2026 — Guest Artist Residency Finale Concert
We open the season by welcoming our Guest Artist in Residence, Coty Raven Morris—a Grammy-nominated educator, composer, and sought-after conductor and speaker, as well as an advocate for well-being through the arts. Her residency brings all eight choirs of Columbia Choirs together across four generations of singers, and her work speaks directly to the heart of our season: caring for ourselves so we can better care for one another. This finale concert celebrates a week of learning, connection, and community singing.
December 2026 — Finding Me
Our December concerts search inward, with music that reflects on identity, belonging, and wellbeing—the work of knowing and caring for ourselves.
- Adult Choirs — December 5, 2026 — Featuring Con Brio and Concord. The concert features Benjamin Britten’s beloved A Ceremony of Carols, a radiant setting of medieval texts for choir and harp.
- Children’s Choirs — December 12, 2026 — Featuring Prima, Melodia, and Harmonia.
- Youth Choirs — December 12, 2026 — Featuring Lyrica, Bel Canto, and Cantabile.
June 2027 — Seeing You
Our June concerts turn outward, closing the season with music of compassion, empathy, and shared humanity.
- Adult Choirs — June 5, 2027 — Featuring Con Brio and Concord.
- Children & Youth Choirs — June 12, 2027 — Featuring Prima, Melodia, Harmonia, Lyrica, Bel Canto, and Cantabile. This special concert includes a graduation ceremony for our senior singers, celebrating their years with Columbia Choirs and sending them forward with song.
