Young singers are introduced to the joys of singing at a young age in Prima. Each week, they experience a joyful, cooperative approach to learning about music through singing songs, moving to music, playing games, listening, performing and improvising. They are introduced to the musical concepts of melody, rhythm, tone quality, and expression, through a variety of fun activities.
All young children are welcome to join Prima and no audition is required. Sign up to visit a rehearsal today!
“My son… adores Ms. Arnold. She is kind, patient and engages every child for the entire duration of the choir rehearsal. She is so funny and expressive, my son likes her a lot and he enjoys singing, dancing and learning a lot of fun things about using the voice in a certain manner to produce beautiful sound. Ms. Arnold brightens the whole room and she make every child feel that they are important”
“Early Childhood is critical time to support children’s natural desire to sing, move and play with sound. Furthermore, research shows that music and music experiences support the formation of important brain connections that are being established over the first three years of life (Carlton, 2000).”
