Olga Okhapkina is a music teacher with a Master’s degree in Music Education and more than 18 years of experience teaching children and adults of all ages and abilities—from first-time beginners to advanced students. Originally from Ukraine, she leads her own Ukrainian folk music ensemble and performs regularly as both a soloist and with her group. That life on stage shapes how she teaches, letting her share authentic music, cultural stories, and a rich variety of songs with her students.
For Olga, lessons are about far more than technique: her goal is to help each student grow in confidence, creativity, and self-expression, and to build a lasting love of music. She’s also completing a second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which has deepened her belief that music can be a powerful way to build self-esteem, emotional awareness, and connection. Above all, Olga creates a warm, welcoming space where students feel free to explore, make mistakes, and discover their own voice.
