Bel Canto

Bel Canto is the advanced performing group for children in Columbia Choirs. Fast-paced, enjoyable rehearsals involve advanced singing technique, sight-singing and ear training, and a wide range of musical repertoire in three or more voice parts and multiple languages. Singers in Bel Canto are held to a high standard as an individual and a member of the larger group, developing the necessary skills to become better leaders and work in a collaborative environment.

Bel Canto performs in the Columbia Choirs concert series and in the community throughout the year. The choir also tours throughout the United States and across the globe, participating in festivals and placing high in competitions. Previous tours have taken Bel Canto singers to Italy, England, South Korea, Canada, Florida, and Austria. Singers will be invited to sing with Bel Canto through a choir placement appointment or by promotion from Ragazzi or Lyrica.
