Tales of Journey, Notes of Home
This season, our choirs will explore powerful stories through the concepts of Journey and Home—of people leaving, searching, arriving, and remembering. We will lift up voices shaped by migration, transformation, and resilience, as well as songs that celebrate the comfort and complexity of home.
Through this theme, we will connect music from around the world with personal experiences of transformation and identity to ask: What does it mean to journey, and what does it mean to return home?
Concert Season Highlights
November 8, 2025 — Residency Finale Concert
Celebrate the culmination of our Guest Artist Residency with composer and conductor Eric Tuan. This concert will include the world premiere of a new work for all eight choirs of Columbia Choirs, exploring the journey of a Japanese immigrant. Additional repertoire will highlight the themes of migration, identity, and belonging.

Our December concerts invite audiences into stories of passage, transformation, and resilience, told through diverse musical traditions.

Featuring Con Brio and Concord, this program showcases repertoire that reflects both the challenges and beauty of life’s journeys. - Children’s Choirs — December 13, 2025 | 12:30pm
Prima, Melodia, and Harmonia will share music of adventure, wonder, and discovery, capturing the spirit of young singers finding their voices. - Youth Choirs — December 13, 2025 | 5:00pm
Lyrica, Bel Canto, and Cantabile present works that lift up stories of resilience and cultural memory, reminding us of the strength found in carrying traditions across generations.
June 2026 — Notes of Home
Our June concerts close the season by celebrating the idea of homecoming, belonging, and legacy.
- Adult Choirs — June 6, 2026 | 7:00pm
Con Brio and Concord will share music that explores the meaning of home—whether found in place, people, or song. - Children & Youth Choirs — June 13, 2026 | 3:00pm
Prima, Melodia, Harmonia, Lyrica, Bel Canto and Cantabile will gather to honor the end of the season. This special concert includes a graduation ceremony for senior singers, recognizing their journeys through Columbia Choirs and sending them forward with song.
